Questionable Battle Rating

Some questions have arisen about the BR system. Some players have noticed getting beaten by much lesser rated players or in multi arena challenge their total BR is way higher than opponents & get just pounded
I sent word to Devs just before they went home for the evening (my early AM) & asked for clarification on this. They will be looking over this battle value system & hope to either be adjusted accordingly or we get more info on how this is "formulated". Please give them time to evaluate & hope to hear real soon what's up ... so stay tuned for further update :p

As far as I know BR is based on gear, gems and astrals. If people are getting beaten by people with less BR it is because people use potions and runes.

On a related tangent: On server 1 it introduces Atsuko as the greatest warrior in balenor, however Elusive beats her on BR and in the Arena. Why is he not the greatest warrior?

one player had added up all gear etc & the hero's "naked" BR ..& the don't seem to add up to the BR displayed (it's lower) when fully equip'd..idk just reports been hearing ..so they looking into it & hopefully will shed light on how it's all added up & any factors in the formula we are unaware of

As for what the formula is, your battle rating is simply all of your stats (Physical Attack through Troop Count) added together, except that your HP only counts for 1/5 of its value (rounded down), and your Magic Attack counts for 5% extra (rounded down).  Both physical attack and magic attack count regardless of your class.  (Worked this out by equipping and unequipping items on my characters.)

Clearly there are some easy ways to get your battle rating up without affecting how effective you are in battle.  Also of note is that your troop type and level have no effect on your battle rating, but they definitely have an effect on how you perform in PVP duels.

Equipment rating seems to be doing some odd things - I have an item of +26 physical attack (no bonuses, but one socket) with an equipment rating of 26, and another with a +12 physical attack (bonus +9 physical attack, no socket) with an equipment rating of 30.  The only thing to possibly recommend the latter over the former is that it can be equipped at a lower level (level 8 vs. level 28).
